تتشـــارك أفلام مقامات تيمة شهرية وتعرض بترجمة عربية/إنجليزية؛ هادفين لخلـــق برنامج متضمن كافة أطياف المشاهدين ومشيع للفيلم القصير بين الجمهـــور المصـــرى المعتاد على الفيلم الطويل. عرضت أفلام النسخــــة السابعة الساعة السابعة مســــاء ٨ أكتوبر، ٢٠٢٣، فى سينما زاوية, وأعيد عرضها فى وكالة بهنا بالأسكندرية الساعة السادسة مساء ٢٥ ديسمبر، ٢٠٢٥
أكتوبر ٢٠٢٣: حكايات عن الحركة
Maqamāt is a monthly short film programme, curated by A Kiss in the Desert in collaboration with Zawya, the leading art house cinema in Cairo. Inspired by the Maqamāt, a concise literary format, with recurring characters adapting different roles, in a manner like that of a short film.
The short films curated each month share a theme, and are screened with English/Arabic subtitles; aiming to expand the short films viewership in Egypt. The programme was screened on 8/10/23, at Zaywa Arthouse Cinema, and rescreened in Wekalet Behna on December 25th, 2025.

A T.V broadcasts news about the pandemic. The girl’s movements build up rapidly. We see the heavy ticking of time and the suffocating lockdown act out through her body, trapped between the film’s cadre and the loophole of a pandemic that ravaged the world.

First Story: Mount of Forgetfulness tells the story of Rawi (Arabic for storyteller), a young man who on discovering that small stories are “dying” in the wake of unprecedented levels of air pollution, resolves to save them from oblivion.
