مقامات هو برنامــــــج أفــــــلام قصيــــــرة شهــــــرى من قبلــــــة فى الصحــــــراء، بالتعاون مع زاوية؛ سينما الأفــــــلام المستقلــــــة الرائدة فى القاهــــــرة. استوحينا اسم البرنامــــــج من المقــــــامات وهى شكــــــل أدبى قديم يتميز بقِصَــــــر المدة، وتواتر نفس الشخصــــــيات فى أزمــــــنة وأماكن مختلفة، فى أســــــلوب يشــــــبه الفيلم القصير
تتشـــارك أفلام مقامات تيمة شهرية وتعرض بترجمة عربية/إنجليزية؛ هادفين لخلـــق برنامج متضمن كافة أطياف المشاهدين ومشيع للفيلم القصير بين الجمهـــور المصـــرى المعتاد على الفيلم الطويل. عرضت أفلام النسخــــة السادسة الساعة السابعة مســــاء ١٠ سبتمبر، ٢٠٢٣، فى سينما زاوية والسادسة مساء ٢٨ مارس ٢٠٢٦ فى وكالة بهنا بالأسكندرية
سبتمبر ٢٠٢٣: تحولات
Maqamāt is a monthly short film programme, curated by A Kiss in the Desert in collaboration with Zawya, the leading art house cinema in Cairo. Inspired by the Maqamāt, a concise literary format, with recurring characters adapting different roles, in a manner like that of a short film.
The short films curated each month share a theme, and are screened with English/Arabic subtitles; aiming to expand the short films viewership in Egypt. The programme was screened on September 10th, 2023, at Zaywa Arthouse Cinema in Cairo, and on March 28th, 2026, at Wekalet Behna in Alexandria.

فرانشيسكو سانشيز سوليس، المكسيك، ٢٠٢١، ١٤ قفى سنىّ الثورة المكسيكية الدموية، يعثر صبىٌ مزارع على جثة جندى ملقاة فى حقل الصبار. يقـرر الفتى أن يسرق متعلقات الجندى المقـول ويرتدى ملابسه. يلقى الصبى بعدها مقاتلًا مجروحًا من مقاتلى الثورة، فيأسره مقاتل الثورة، ظنًا منه بأنه واحد من الجنود. يبدأ الثائر وأسيره الصبى رحلة طويلة واعـــرة يسبران فيها غور أكثر البيئات عدائية وقسوة. فى أثناء الرحلة يتعرف الصبى والثائر ببعضهم البعض بصورة أعمق ويتجلى شيء من الإنسانية المشتركة بينهما. يقرر الثائر إطلاق سراح الصبى أخيرًا، على غير علم منه بأن طريقه والفتى ستتقاطعان مرة أخيرة قريبًا
During the bloody years of the Mexican Revolution, a curious teenager discovers the lifeless body of a soldier in a cactus field. When he decides to steal the soldier’s belongings, the boy is captured by a wounded revolutionary fighter. A painful journey across an inhospitable landscape confronts the young peasant and the revolutionary against each other. The revolutionary decides to release the boy, but soon their paths cross again one last time.
