فى سينما المنيرة، تقدّم قبلة فى الصحراء ١٨ فيلمًا طويلًا مقسمة على خمسة برامج مستقلة وهى: آخر أيام الصيفية؛ سقطات الرأسمالية؛ بيت، جيرة، بلدة؛ شمال، جنوب، شرق، غرب؛ أصداء مسرح الجريمة. اختارت المجموعة أفلامًا متنوعة تقدم أغلبها للجمهور المصرى للمرة الأولى. جميع الأفلام مترجمة للعربية
From October 13, 2025, to March 16, 2026, join A Kiss in the Desert every Monday night at Cinéma de Mounira, hosted by the French Institute, Mounira
The collective presents 18 feature films, grouped into five thematic programmes: Summer Is Leaving; The Falls of Capitalism; Buildings, Neighbourhoods, Villages; North, South, East, West; and Echoes of a Murdering Scene. Many of these films will be screened in Egypt for the first time, and all are subtitled in Arabic and English.

Jorge has been the film programmer of the Montevideo cinémathèque for 25 years. Because attendance is down, the cinémathèque struggles to make profit and shuts down, leaving Jorge unemployed. With no other skills, he is forced to change his way of life in order to adapt to the new world he faces.

Aragane is a Japanese word for small pieces of coal or stone excavated from a mine. The place, the people, their work and their physical effort. The sheer amount of physical labour done under the ground in eight-hour shifts under harsh circumstances every day without any sunlight.

In 1901, the Venerable Sultan of Pays de Nour placed an advertisement seeking an instructor in the mysteries of the camera obscura and the cinematograph. Not long after reading this request during a field trip, Gabriel Veyre, the renowned cameraman for the Lumière brothers, arrived in Pays de Nour to initiate the Sultan into the art of filmmaking. The story unfolds as a blend of science, magic, love, humor, and spectral encounters.
