مقامات هو برنامج أفلام قصيرة شهرى من قبلة فى الصحراء. استوحينا اسم البرنامج من المقامات وهى شكل أدبى قديم يتميز بقِصَر المدة، وتواتر نفس الشخصيات فى أزمنة وأماكن مختلفة، فى أسلوب يشبه الفيلم القصير
لهذه النسخة المقدمة بالتعاون مع مهرجان زاوية للأفلام القصيرة، قررنا أن نبنى برنامجين جديدين بتيمات جديدة باستخدام الأفلام التى عرضناها على مدار الثلاثة أعوام الماضية. تيمة البرنامج الأول هى ميتامورفوسيس

مارس ٢٠٢٥: ميتامورفوسيس
Maqamāt is a monthly short film programme curated by A Kiss in the Desert. The program’s name is inspired by the Maqāmah, a concise medieval literary format with recurring characters adapting different roles in each Maqamāh, in a manner similar to that of a short film.
For this special edition, hosted by Zawya Shorts, we underwent an exercise of curating two new programmes with new themes, exclusively from the pool of films we screened over the last three years. The theme of the second programme is Metamorphoses.
The programme was screened on 19/03/25, at Zaywa.

It is a morning in September. A storm is about to break. A mother drives a girl to school in the morning and picks up a woman at the end of the school day. Anna, a fifteen-year-old girl sneaks out of school, and with the help of her boyfriend, they visit a hospital. There, she has to face an event that will jolt her into adulthood.

تتأمل قرود اللنغور عالمها وهو في طور التحول. فی فيلم تغيرات، يتشارك البشر والحيوانات والموسيقى والحجـر في الحوار. صور الفيلم في قرية هامبى في ولاية كارناتاكا، الهتد، بين أطلال المدينة القديمة التي أصبحت موقعًا للتراث العالمي. هذه القرية، المبعثر في أرجائها أطلال وأحجار من قديم الأزل، قد تكون هي ذاتها مملكة القردة الأسطورية. اليـوم، صارت هذه القرية سـكنى قرود اللنغور، وهي فصيلة من فصائل قرود العالم القديم التي تسـكن شبه القارة الهندية. يتحرى الفيلم التقاطعات بين الأزمنة التاريخية والجيولوجية، الواقع والأسطورة، المُعاش والمحفوظ، والإنسان والحيوان
Langurs contemplate their world as it changes around them. The film is shot in Hampi, India, in the remains of a 14th-century city. This city, strewn with ancient ruins and massive boulders, some of the oldest in the world, is also said to be the mythic monkey kingdom of ancient lore. Currently, the site is overrun with langurs, a genus of “old world monkeys”. The film playfully interrogates various intersections between ancient and geological timescales, the real and mythic, the lived and preserved, and human and animal.
