In our third collaboration with Manassat, we were invited to curate one screening of the late-night feature series. This year’s selection is José Mojica Marins’ ‘À Meia-Noite Levarei Sua Alma’ (‘At Midnight I’ll Take Your Soul,’ Brazil, 1964), widely regarded as Brazil’s first horror film. The screening brings Marins’ work to Egypt for the first time as part of Manassat’s 10th edition.

The film was screened on Friday, May 22 at 9:00 pm in Zawya Cinema, Karim 2 to a full house.
